In addition to my design work, I enjoy doing what I like to call "Website Launch" and "Website Rescue."
Most individuals and small businesses don't have the budget for a high-end, custom designed website. A well-designed template or a website creation service like Weebly, Squarespace, WIX, or WordPress can usually meet their needs or at least get them started. Some people just need a basic starter website - I can help with a quick "Website Launch."
Most people aren't starting from scratch, however. Often, they have had a website kicking around for 5 years or so that looks dated, has broken links and missing images, or that isn't optimized for mobile.
It can be non-trivial to locate the domain registration, regain access to their hosting service, and move and update their content. I love helping people to regain control of their internet presence. I help small businesses and non-profits choose and migrate to new, responsive templates and platforms, show them how to maintain their new sites, and help solve any problems that arise. I also help advise them on social media and search optimization basics.
