20x24 Polaroids

I photograph my subjects with the 20x24 Polaroid camera, then I rephotograph or scan the one-of-a-kind images, and produce limited edition giclee prints in a variety of sizes. Prints can be purchased either framed or unframed. Originals may be purchased by special arrangement.

At 235 pounds (106 kg), the Polaroid 20x24 inch instant camera is one of the largest format cameras currently in use. There are only six 20x24 Polaroid cameras in the world. Like all Polaroid cameras, the 20x24 camera generates a one-of-a-kind image. There is no negative. Prints can be made by digital scanning or by rephotographing the original. Each Polaroid photograph is a unique artwork.

Other 20x24 Polaroid photographers include portrait artists Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and Elsa Dorfman, and William Wegman, best known for his 20x24 portraits of his dogs. My photographs were made at the Polaroid studio in San Francisco and at the Polaroid studio at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
